How ten Concordia Universities nationwide agreed on a video conferencing platform and now share courses between universities and high schools. The effectiveness of distance technology tools and the need to combine the efforts of instructors and technology staff will be addressed. The workshop will explore whether the use of compressed video, Internet-based chatrooms, discussion forums and e-mail, help or hinder students in learning how to communicate with one another. |
