Keynote:  Dr. Cynthia Selfe
Professor of Composition and Communication, Department of the Humanities, Michigan Technological University.  Dr. Selfe was the first woman to win the Educom Medal Award for the effective use of technology in higher education.   www.hu.mtu.edu/~cyselfe/cindypages

Her keynote will focus on the changing nature of literacy in technological environments--and, more particularly, on literacy in the context of race issues associated with the digital divide.
